Wellness Nurse RN Position
by: Penny Jones

Good afternoon! I would like to be considered for this position. Is there an email address that I can send my full resume? Please let me know!

In the meantime, let me tell you a bit about myself. I am a Registered Nurse with over 30 years of experience in a variety of clinical settings as well as over a decade of specific experience in care of the elderly. I recently returned to Denver after spending two years living in Connecticut caring for my sister following a double rotator cuff surgery. During that time, I was recruited to Privatus Care Solutions, an organization providing Private Private home health care to clients in the Greenwich area. In my role with Privatus, I provided direct supervision, training, evaluation and coordination of care support for over 300 Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Patients regularly displayed Alzheimer's and severe dementia and I supported the CNA teams with management of these symptoms through both on-site training and support as well as the development of training inservices on topics related to senior behavioral health issues. Prior to my position with Privatus, I held case management positions with two Denver-area hospice providers, as well as served as Charge RN/Assistant Director of Nursing for a local nursing home. In both positions, my role required patience and a thorough understanding of the needs of elderly patients as well as the medical complexities of advanced age.
As my resume indicates, I have several decades of nursing experience in many treatment settings and specializing in various patient populations. While I began my career as an ICU Float RN (MICU/CCU,SICU, ER, L&D, Telemetry) at Rose Medical Center in Denver, my most recent concentration has been in care of the elderly in hospice, nursing home and home health care settings. Throughout my extensive experience, I have come to believe strongly in the notion that, as nurses, we care for our patients’ health and well-being through the delivery of effective medical care. However, I also keenly recognize the importance and value of effective care for mental health and spiritual issues. I care deeply about effective nursing care for patients of advanced age—medical, emotional and spiritual health—and have been recognized repeatedly in past positions for my skill in this area.
Should you find me to be an attractive candidate for an RN position, I can begin as soon as possible. My schedule is rather flexible, so I am able to work any shift and fill in for other team members during sick/holiday leave. Thank you in advance for your consideration of my candidacy. I welcome the opportunity to contribute my skills to your facility.
Penelope Jones RN
