You will also be responsible for overseeing the electronic medical records program to ensure it is properly maintained, accurate and meets health department compliance and regulations.

Qualifications necessary for this role:
•Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
•Must be a licensed registered professional nurse (LPN) in Colorado.
•Must enjoy working with elders and dementia clientele.
•Demonstrated talent for interacting with individuals with dementia or memory issues, particularly the elderly and their family members.
•Proven successful management of a team to achieve common goals preferred.
•Two - Four years management experience preferred; strong leadership skills a necessity.
•Two - three years of experience in a senior living setting preferred.
•Ability to provide coaching and mentoring to staff to achieve excellence.
•Ability to collaborate with other departments and management to continuously improve quality and overall experience for our customers.
•Demonstrated ability to maintain a customer focus at all times.
•Ability to clearly communicate in verbal and written form.

- Current Medication Administration certification from designated state agency.

- CNA preferred.

•Ensure that disciplinary action is administered fairly.

•Develop a written plan of care for each resident that identifies the problems/needs, indicated the care to be given, goals to be accomplished, and which professional service is responsible for each element of care.
•Prepare and plan the nursing service department’s budget and submit to the Administrator.
•Schedule, attend, and participate in nursing service meetings.
•Demonstrate a passion for caring as evidenced by interaction with co-workers, residents, families, and visitors.
•Perform all other duties, as assigned.

Required Skills:
•Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state.
•Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
•Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
•Must possess the ability to deal tactfully when personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
•Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.
