As a Health Services Director you will train, supervise staff, and coordinate with families and doctors for our residents’ needs, and meet all state regulations for Assisted Living. Other responsibilities will include, but not limited to directing and coordinating overall resident care; coordinate move-ins with Marketing Director, and help families with discharge on move-outs. Job Description
Summary:
Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of an 8 bed Assisted Living Home. Responsibility includes achieving and maintaining rental of the community to capacity, for achieving high resident satisfaction and quality resident care, for ensuring compliance with applicable State and Federal requirements, for generating respect in the community for the senior community, and for ensuring smooth operations. Drug Screen and background check required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Manager ensures that all functional areas required to operate the community are covered at all times. Manager will be expected to work as necessary to maintain a fully staffed home and to keep the home filled to capacity with residents appropriate for the facility and to be otherwise on call. Hours are flexible and maximum number of hours expected to work is approximately 25hrs/week but will vary according to the needs of the business.

Other: Willing to work shift assigned, weekends and holidays; ability to work independently with minimum supervision; skills in staff supervision, problem solving, conflict management, and budgeting; personnel management; public relations; marketing; other job duties as assigned by Owner.

Specific duties include:
1. To direct the performance of all staff in the Assisted Living Home.
2. To be aware and knowledgeable of and comply with all State and Federal laws and regulations and all company rules and regulations governing assisted living homes.
3. To ensure the delivery of quality care and services and ensure positive resident relations by responding promptly and appropriately to resident needs, requests, concerns, etc.
4. To provide orientations and tours for the residents, community of interest, and staff
5. To accept and retain residents who meet acceptance criteria and whose needs can be met by the facility;
6. To employ, supervise, and evaluate qualified community staff and to direct these employees to ensure the provision of appropriate quality services to residents, operating within the corporation's personnel policies; and in hiring, to thoroughly check employee's references and evaluate the person according to the job to keep staff turnover at a minimum.
7. To carry the company cell phone.
8. To maintain personnel records
9. To maintain staffing to meet 24 hour, seven days a week general monitoring of the residents;
10. To maintain on-call/back-up staff
11. To contract for any approved contracted service, including therapy services and other ancillary services as may be required and to direct and evaluate the performance of all service contractors in providing needed services.
12. To promote and maintain positive relations with residents and addressing resident concerns appropriately.
13. To create resident activity schedules designed to achieve resident satisfaction by providing enrichment in the areas of social interaction, entertainment, arts and crafts, physical exercise, education, religious services, and community involvement.
14. To purchase groceries each week
15. To participate in the move-in and routine assessment process per Assisted Living regulations and community policy as appropriate and/or requested.
16. To comply with and uphold company policy and procedures as set forth by the business.
17. To conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure it is safe from potential hazards;
18. To perform any additional job duties set by the corporation while completing all assigned duties, which may change from time to time according to resident needs, staffing levels, and working circumstances.

Job Qualifications:
1. Must be able to relate to elders and their families in a positive manner.
2. Must possess good marketing and public relations skills.
3. Must have experience in personnel management.
4. Must be willing to learn or currently have an understanding of appropriate State and Federal regulations, operational systems and procedures and must be able to apply that understanding to ensure the smooth operation of the community.

Other Requirements:
Good communication skills, verbal and written; English language skills adequate to allow communication with residents and staff, and to understand written and verbal instructions. Must have compassion for elders. Must be self-motivated.
